Ryan Faragher Loaned to AHL Stockton Heat

BOISE, Idaho – Idaho Steelheads goaltender Ryan Faragher has been loaned to the Stockton Heat (AHL), Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced on Sunday.

Faragher, 28, played two games with the Steelheads this season, recording a 1-1-0 record with a 3.52 goals-against average and a .863 save percentage. The Fort Frances, Ont., native appeared in six games with the Heat after signing a Professional Tryout Contract (PTO) in February, tallying a 4-1-0 record with a 1.55 goals-against average and a .949 save percentage. In 26 AHL games between Norfolk, San Diego and Stockton, Faragher boasts a 10-13-1 record with a 2.57 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage.

The Steelheads acquired Faragher on Nov. 7, 2017 from the Manchester Monarchs and signed him to an ECHL contract this off-season. He owns a 72-57-11 record with a 2.69 goals-against average, a .907 save percentage and nine shutouts through 151 professional games as well as a 11-8-1 record with a 2.82 goals-against average, a .899 save percentage, and two shutouts through 22 games with the Steelheads.

This is Faragher’s first call-up of the season, and it’s the second Steelheads player under contract to be loaned to an AHL team, joining Kale Kessy (Manitoba) prior to the start of the 2018-19 season.

The Steelheads finish their two-game weekend tonight at 7:05 p.m. against the Utah Grizzlies from Maverik Center.

The Steelheads return to CenturyLink Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 7:10 p.m. against the Tulsa Oilers. Single-game tickets and season ticket packages are on sale, with full-season packages starting as low as $300 per seat.
