BOISE, Idaho – The Dallas Stars have re-assigned goaltender Philippe Desrosiers to the Idaho Steelheads, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced on Friday.
Desrosiers, 23, began the 2018-19 season with AHL Texas after attending Texas Training Camp. The Saint-Hyacinthe, Que., product played 36 games with the Steelheads in the 2017-18 season, posting a 23-9-1 record with a 2.51 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage before playing two games with AHL Texas and allowing one goal in two games. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound goaltender owns a 43-19-0 career record with the Steelheads with a 2.64 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage. He currently sits second in Steelheads All-Time ECHL History in wins, minutes (4,528) and third in saves (1,991).
Desrosiers will be available this weekend and will wear #30. The Steelheads begin the 2018-19 season tonight at 6:05 p.m. MT against the Wichita Thunder.
The Steelheads open the 2018-19 home schedule at CenturyLink Arena on Friday, Oct. 19 at 7:10 p.m. against the Utah Grizzlies.
