Boise, ID (3/20/18) –The Idaho Steelheads have announced the total donation figures from their St. Luke’s “Pink in the Rink” Jersey Auction held on March 9th and 10th at CenturyLink Arena. The Steelheads collected $21,376 during the auction, with all proceeds donated to St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute.
Fan bids for the players’ individual game-worn jerseys brought in $19,800, while raffle tickets for one jersey signed by the entire team raised $1,567. Seven jerseys- Jefferson Dahl, Alexander Dahl, Michael Neville, Steve McParland, Justin Parizek, Aaron Harstad, and Blue the mascot- were purchased outright at the auction for $1,500. Brady Brassart’s jersey sold for $1,000.
The jerseys were designed by Steelheads Account Executive Erik Diehl. Erik also designed the St. Luke’s Children’s Jersey from earlier this season.
“There was some very spirited bidding this year, and that’s a credit both to Erik’s design and to our fans’ passion to contribute to this important cause,” said Steelheads President Eric Trapp. “We want to thank St. Luke’s for partnering with us again this season and for allowing us to contribute to their research funding in the battle against cancer.”
The Steelheads have donated over $125,000 to cancer research since the 2010-11 season thanks to the “Pink in the Rink” Jersey Auction, and over $186,000 since 2005-06.
