Boise, ID (12/6/17)— The Idaho Steelheads will hit the ice this weekend at CenturyLink Arena in support of St. Luke’s Children’s when they don specialty jersey’s for the annual St. Luke’s Jersey Auction. The Steelheads will wear the jersey for games against the Utah Grizzlies on December 8th and 9th to raise money for pediatric care in the Treasure Valley.
Fans will have an opportunity during the weekend games to bid on the Steelheads’ game-worn, custom-made jerseys during the St. Luke’s Jersey Auction, a silent auction held during both games on the arena concourse. Bidding will conclude at the start of the third period on the 9th, with winners earning not only the jersey but also the opportunity to receive it from the player himself.
The team will again raffle off a jersey signed by every member of the team. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to St. Luke’s Children’s.
"St. Luke’s is a valuable partner to us because of the amazing care they provide our players, but they mean so much to our fans and our community as well,” said Steelheads President Eric Trapp. “Every year they use this auction to gather funds for vital research and care for numerous ailments, and this year we are putting all of our energies towards the needs of Idaho children.”

This year’s jerseys have been designed by Steelheads Account Executive Erik Diehl. Erik designed the team’s “Pink in the Rink” jerseys in 2015-16 and last season’s Military Appreciation Jersey.
“Working with Eric, we wanted to try something different this year with a throwback look that was also modern and sharp,” said Diehl. “We loved the look of the old Toronto Maple Leafs jerseys and used that as a model. I think our fans will really enjoy them and I think it will be another successful auction.”
