Boise, ID (12/13/17) –The Idaho Steelheads have announced the total donation figures from their St. Luke’s Children’s Jersey Auction held last weekend at CenturyLink Arena. The Steelheads auctioned off custom-made, game-worn jerseys, sponsored by St. Luke’s, on December 8th and 9th when hosting the Utah Grizzlies, with all proceeds donated to St. Luke’s Children’s.
This year’s auction generated $15,443 in donations. The auction of the individual jerseys brought in $12,400, and the raffle for one jersey signed by the entire team collected $3,043.
Ryan Faragher’s jersey earned the high bid on a night when he recorded his eighth career shutout, bringing in $1,000. Mitch Moroz’s jersey was a close second, selling for $900.
“We want to thank the fine people at St. Luke’s for their hard work this year to promote another successful jersey auction,” said Steelheads President Eric Trapp. “These donations will help to make a meaningful impact towards improving care for our children in the Treasure Valley. Especially at this time of year, it’s wonderful to again see the generosity of our fans in full force.”
“Erik Diehl did a terrific job designing a jersey we knew our fans would love, and our fans were able to make a difference for St. Luke’s Children’s and also bring something special home with them.”
All funds will be donated by St. Luke’s Children’s to support pediatric care in the Treasure Valley.
The Steelheads have donated over $430,000 to various charities in 21 years through specialty jersey auctions.
