Boise, ID (11/20/17) – Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced on Monday that goaltender Philippe Desrosiers has been recalled to the Texas Stars by the NHL’s Dallas Stars. It will be Desrosiers’ first stint in AHL Texas this season.
Desrosiers, 22, is 6-1-1 this season with the Steelheads, with a 2.61 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage. The 2013 second-round Dallas Stars draft pick has played with the Steelheads in each of the last three seasons, also spending time with the Norfolk Admirals and with AHL Texas.
The St. Hyacinthe, Quebec native is 8-7-0 in his AHL career with Texas with a .906 save percentage. In 73 career ECHL appearances with Idaho and Norfolk, Desrosiers is 34-22-9 with a .905 save percentage..
