The first’new face’ for the Steelheads this summer, Brady Brassart heads to Idaho coming off his best pro season. Formerly a prospect of the Minnesota Wild, Brassart is well-known for his two way play and has a knack for the net as well.

Let’s look closer at the numbers for Brass:

46 – Brassart had 46 points over the course of his first 148 pro games, spent over parts of three seasons with AHL Iowa and Quad City. He nearly matched that total last year in Quad City, totaling 43 points in 65 games for the Mallards and finishing fifth on the team with 29 assists.

92 – Brass’ two-way reputation extends all the way back to his junior days, when he played five seasons in the WHL with Spokane and Calgary. During his time in juniors, Brassart had a plus-92 rating in 323 games, including a plus-40 ranking in 2012-13 that was ranked 14th in the league.

4 – Brassart totaled four points, all assists, in nine games last season against teams that will be in this year’s Mountain Division.

9 – Brady registered nine multipoint games in 2016-17, including one two-goal game on November 12th against Kalamazoo.

159 – He registered 159 shots on goal, third-most on the Mallards last season. With 14 goals, Brassart had a shooting percentage of 8.1 percent.

81 – Brassart showed more grit last years as well with a career-high 81 penalty minutes. He totaled 52 PIMs over his first 148 pro games.
