Boise, ID (6/19/17)— The ECHL has officially announced that Steelheads Senior Account Executive Steven Anderson has been named the 2016-17 ECHL Ticket Executive of the Year. Steven becomes the first member of the Steelheads organization to earn the league-wide honor.
The award is presented annually to an individual who has experienced success with the ticket sales process, with the winner selected by a vote of league general managers and ticketing managers.
Steven just completed his fourth season with the Steelheads, not including his contributions as an intern while studying at Boise State University. Steven has been an instrumental member of the team’s staff throughout his tenure, earning Employee of the Year honors after the 2013-14 season. This year Steven elevated his performance yet again, playing a critical role in a 25 percent increase in school group sales and responsible for over $150,000 in overall group sales.
Steven’s contributions are not limited to ticket sales, as he has also played a major role in organizing and executing sponsorship deals, managing charitable functions at Steelheads games, and helping to organize community functions like food drives and school visits. Steven also manages the Hockey Youth Fundraising program for the Steelheads.
“We’re so proud of Steven and thrilled that the league has recognized his exceptional work this year,” said Steelheads President Eric Trapp. “Steven has grown tremendously since joining us as an intern, and he has been proving himself to be a driven and dedicated person ever since. His leadership has been a driving force for our sales team, and I’m happy that his performance is getting noticed around our league.”
