Dahl, Linsmayer, and Faust on ballot for 2016-17 ECHL Fantasy Team

Boise, ID (12/1/16) – The ECHL, in conjunction with The MeiGray Group, announced on Thursday the opening of fan voting for the 2016-17 ECHL Fantasy Team. Three Steelheads- forwards Jefferson Dahl and Rob Linsmayer, along with defenseman Joe Faust- represent Idaho on this year’s ballot.

The ECHL is giving fans the opportunity to vote for players to comprise the 2016-17 Fantasy Team, of which, one player from each Member Team will be selected to wear a special ECHL Fantasy Team jersey at an upcoming home game.

Dahl has been among the best offensive players in the ECHL this season, currently ranked sixth in the league with 23 points and tied for the league-lead with nine power play points. Dahl’s ten-game points streak between October 21st and November 11th is the second-longest points streak in the ECHL this season.

Linsmayer, whom the fans voted to be a part of the ECHL Fantasy Team last season, is having another solid campaign with 15 points in 16 games this season, along with a plus-3 rating that is tied for third on the team. Faust, in his first year with Idaho, already has a career-best six goals and 12 points.  Faust ranks second among all ECHL defensemen in goals and ninth in points, while his plus-4 rating leads the Steelheads.CLICK HERE to cast your votes for the 2016-17 ECHL Fantasy Team

Voting is now open on ECHL.com. Fans are limited to one ballot during the voting period, which runs until 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, Dec. 12. Fans can vote for up to one player on each ECHL Member Team’s ballot. The winning player for each team will wear a team jersey with a 2017 ECHL Fantasy Team patch during an upcoming home game.
