Boise, ID (11/27/16) –Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced several transactions on Sunday, confirming that goaltender Philippe Desrosiers and forward Branden Troock have been assigned to the Steelheads from the AHL’s Texas Stars. The Texas Stars have also recalled goaltender Landon Bow.
Desrosiers, 21, played 31 games with the Steelheads last year during his rookie season. The 2013 second-round draft pick of the Dallas Stars was 15-7-4 with the Steelheads with a 2.34 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage. Desrosiers set a Steelheads ECHL record last season with a 16-game unbeaten streak, going 12-0-4 from December 13th to April 8th.
Desrosiers has appeared in seven games with AHL Texas this season, going 2-2-0 with a 3.25 goals-against average and an .893 save percentage.
Troock, 22, has played 13 games with the Steelheads over the last two seasons and totaled three goals and seven points. Troock was with the Steelheads last season from January 22nd to February 3rd, netting two goals and three assists in eight contests. The Stars’ 2012 fifth-round pick has recorded three assists in eight games with AHL Texas this season.
Bow, 21, heads to Texas following a 30-save winning effort over the Allen Americans on Saturday. The rookie goaltender is 8-3-1 this season with Idaho, posting a 2.75 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage. Bow is 7-1-0 in his last eight games with a .931 save percentage.
Bow is under AHL contract with Texas and was assigned to the Steelheads during training camp in October. This is his first call-up to the Stars.
