Herbert recalled to AHL Texas

Boise, ID (10/24/16) –Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced on Monday that forward Caleb Herbert has been recalled by the American Hockey League’s Texas Stars. Herbert played in Idaho’s first four games of the season while on an AHL contract with Texas.

Herbert, 25, tallied a goal and an assist in his first four games with the Steelheads, recording his first goal in Friday night’s home opener. The Bloomington, Minnesota native also recorded 12 shots on goal and a plus-2 rating.

Herbert participated in training camp with the Texas Stars prior to this season.

The Steelheads begin a three-game set against the Reading Royals on Wednesday night at CenturyLink Arena, with puck-drop scheduled for 7:10pm. The game can be heard on 1350AM KTIK and seen on Cable One and on ECHL.TV.
