Branden Troock recalled to AHL Texas

Boise, ID (2/4/16)— Branden Troock was recalled to the AHL’s Texas Stars on Thursday morning by the NHL’s Dallas Stars, according to Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham.

Troock, 21, was assigned to Idaho on January 23rd by AHL Texas. Troock competed in eight games for the Steelheads, recording two goals and five points.

A fifth round draft pick (134th overall) of the Dallas Stars in 2012, this is Troock’s second full professional season. He has appeared in 20 games with the Texas Stars this season, tallying three goals and ten points.  Troock was also a Steelhead for five games last season, posting a goal and an assist in that time.

The Steelheads also announced on Thursday that forward Taylor Peters has been moved to the 21-day injured reserve list.

The Steelheads and Aces meet on Friday night in the second game of their three-game series, with puck-drop scheduled for 7:10pm MT. The game is available on 1350AM KTIK, CableOne, and ECHLTV.
