Steelheads’ new team website has launched

Boise, ID (12/29/15)— Idaho Steelheads fans received an extra gift over the Christmas weekend, as the team launched its newly redesigned website. With the hard work and valuable assistance of DaviesMoore in Boise, the Steelheads revealed a brand new, sleeker, and more user-friendly web platform for their fan base, with the same web address at idahosteelheads.com.

The Steelheads have worked with DaviesMoore for 15 years, and they partnered to give the Steelheads’ web presence a facelift after spending over a decade with the same look online. Rather than tweak the existing site, the Steelheads and web development team decided to give the site an overhaul that improves many of the features and functions for both Steelheads fans and the Steelheads organization in better serving those fans.

“Our relationship with the Steelheads allowed us to collaborate easily and keep the project on track. They helped us gather all of the information we needed, while trusting our recommendations on user experience and usability,” said Roumena Kratchunova, Digital Account Executive for DaviesMoore. “Huge thank you to the Steelheads for helping us make an awesome new experience for Steelheads hockey fans!”

One of the most important advances of the new site is that it is 100 percent responsive, meaning that the full website is fully optimized for mobile use. In the past, the content available to fans on their mobile device was limited compared to the information and entertainment they could access on their desktop computer. With the new and revamped idahosteelheads.com, the same full content can be accessed on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Upon visiting the site, fans will immediately notice a layout that is much easier to navigate. One new feature is the countdown clock across the site’s banner tracking the moments leading up to the Steelheads’ next contest. Fans will find it much easier to purchase tickets to Steelheads games on the team website, with several links available right on the landing page to direct fans to available seats for the next game at CenturyLink Arena. Shopping for Steelheads gear is also easier with a more organized and complete page dedicated to the Steelheads Team Store.

Fans will also have a better experience searching through a variety of Steelheads editorial content, with streamlined and updated webpages dedicated to content ranging from game recap stories to team news and player features. Video from Steelheads TV is also more prominently displayed on the new site.

“We couldn’t be happier with our new website and are so grateful to DaviesMoore for all their hard work in helping us through this project,” said Steelheads President Eric Trapp. “It was a long process to create the best web experience for our fans and I think they are going to love this new look and its convenient layout.”

Beyond what the site offers for fans, DaviesMoore also included several features to help the Steelheads work harder for their fans. Not only does the back end of the site have a more advanced Content Management System that allows operators to upload new content more quickly and easily, but the site also features conversion tracking technology to tell the Steelheads where their web traffic and ticket sales are coming from.

Simply put, the new site will allow the team to understand what stories, features, and videos their fans enjoy most so that they can offer more of that content to the fan base. It will also inform the organization which online channels result in the most ticket sales.

With the Steelheads climbing the Western Conference standings and earning points in seven straight games, there is no shortage of new stories and videos on the Steelheads’ new site covering the team’s December surge. Visit idahosteelheads.com today and see why #SteelheadsHockeyRules!
