Boise, ID (4/30/15) - On Thursday, April 30th, Ocean Beauty in partnership with Idaho Steelheads and the Boise Rescue Mission generously donated 500 cans of salmon and 60 lbs of hot dogs to City Light Home for Women and Children.
Blue had a chance to play a little hockey with some of the kids on hand using puck shaped cans of salmon and a make-shift goal built out of cases of donated food.
Back on February 14th, Ocean Beauty held a group ticket fundraiser to the Idaho Steelheads game. $5 dollars from every ticket sold through the fundraiser went directly to purchasing the donated items.
On average, City Light currently serves on average 12,000 hot nutritious meals per month to homeless women and children.
