Boise, ID (4/8/2015) – The Idaho Steelheads announced the final total of money raised for local non-profit organizations through its three jersey auctions this season.
Through its specially-designed Boise State, “Pink in the Rink” and multi-colored heart jerseys, the Idaho Steelheads generated $58,620 this season for St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital, St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute and the Jayden DeLuca Foundation.
The generosity of Steelheads fans has pushed the all-time total over $525,000 raised via jersey auctions, dating back to 1998, for local non-profits and charities.
The top two individual money-makers this season were forwards David deKastrozza ($3,600 over three auctions) and Colton Beck ($3,400 over three auctions). Defenseman Patrick Cullity also generated over $3,000 for his jerseys while fellow blue-liners Matt Case and Mike Dalhuisen both exceeded $2,500 total raised for their three game-worn Steelheads jerseys.
