Boise, ID (4/8/2015) – The Idaho Steelheads, in conjunction with the ECHL, announced Wednesday that forward Jason Bast has been selected to the ECHL’s All-Rookie Team.
The 25-year-old Saskatchewan native is tied for the most goals among all ECHL rookies (30) despite appearing in just 52 games. His eight game-winning goals are tied for second-most in the entire league and his plus-23 plus/minus rating ranks second among all first-year pros. He was named ECHL Rookie of the Month in both October and January, becoming just the sixth player to win multiple Rookie of the Month honors since the award began in 1997-98.

It is the second consecutive season Idaho has had a player voted onto the All-Rookie Team. William Rapuzzi was selected last season, joining Kael Mouillierat (2010-11), Richard Bachman (2009-10), Evan Barlow (2009-10) and Frank Doyle (2004-05) as Steelheads to be selected.
The Steelheads wrap up their regular season tonight at home against the Utah Grizzlies. Game time is 7:10 PM and tickets are available at the CenturyLink Arena box office.
