Boise, ID (2/26/2015) – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Thursday that goaltender Jack Campbell has been recalled from the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads and assigned to Texas of the American Hockey League.
Idaho (ECHL) and Texas (AHL) are the primary development affiliates of the NHL’s Dallas Stars.
In a related move, goaltender Henri Kiviaho has been reassigned by the Stars to Idaho and is expected to join the team in time for its game Friday night in Bakersfield.
Campbell, the 2010 first-round draft pick of the Dallas Stars, appeared in seven games with Idaho, allowing two goals or less in five of his seven games. He compiled a 5-2-0 record and 1.73 goals against average along with a .945 save percentage in his stint with the Steelheads, including a shutout at Stockton on February 20.
Kiviaho did not appear in a game while on assignment with Texas. The 21-year-old rookie is 6-5-1 with Idaho with a 2.95 goals-against average.
The Steelheads wrap up a seven-game road trip with games in Bakersfield on Friday and Saturday night. Game time each night is 8 PM (Mtn) and can be heard live on KTIK 1350 in the Treasure Valley.
Idaho returns home on Wednesday, March 4, to host the Stockton Thunder at CenturyLinkArena. The team will host its annual “Pink in the Rink” weekend on March 6-7, wearing special jerseys that will be auctioned off to raise money for St. Luke’s Mountain States Instutute.
Group outings at a Steelheads game are a great way to gather friends, colleagues, or co-workers for a fun night out in downtown Boise.
