Boise, ID (9/16/14) – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Wednesday that the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads have agreed to terms with forward Steve Quailer.
The 25-year-old Quailer spent his first two professional seasons in the American Hockey League – the highest level of minor-league hockey in North America – after being selected in the 3rd round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadians. In that span, he scored ten goals, five of which were game-winning tallies. The Colorado native was a college teammate of forward Wade MacLeod, who agreed to terms with the Steelheads on Monday. The two played together at Northeastern.
Ralph on Quailer: “He’s a quality person and player. He brings size, skill and ‘jam’ to our lineup along with experience at the AHL level.”
Quailer is the tenth forward to be added to Idaho’s training-camp roster. Training camp opens at CenturyLink Arena on October 6. The other forwards are MacLeod, Gaelan Patterson, Brett Robinson, David deKastrozza, Colton Beck, Jason Bast, Luke Judson, Rob Linsmayer and Kyle Gibbons.
Group outings at a Steelheads game are a great way to gather friends, colleagues, or co-workers for a fun night out in downtown Boise. Ticket prices are discounted and you can get a Pepsi, Double-R Ranch Hot Dog, and bag of Tim’s Cascade Chips with each ticket.
