Boise, ID (7/2/14) – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Wednesday that the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads have agreed to terms with defenseman Quinn Sproule.
The 24-year-old Sproule (“Sprole”) is entering his rookie season after a four-year college career at Alaska-Anchorage. In 138 career games with the Seawolves, he collected 25 points (five goals, 20 assists). Thirty-eight of those games came as a senior, tied for the team lead, when he served as the team’s alternate captain and played for former Stockton Thunder head coach Matt Thomas.
Ralph on Sproule: “Quinn is a mobile defenseman that competes extremely hard. He wants to start his pro career playing for the Idaho Steelheads and we’re excited to have such a well-rounded player on board.”
Sproule is the second player to officially agree to terms with the Steelheads for the upcoming season, joining forward Rob Linsmayer.
Season tickets for the 2014-15 season are already on sale, starting at just $275 to secure the same seat for all 36 home games. There are also partial-season plans available for fans seeking more flexibility. Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 or log on to www.idahosteelheads.com for more information.
