Boise, ID (1/29/14) – The Idaho Steelheads, in conjunction with the ECHL, announced changes to the remainder of its 2013-14 schedule. It is important to note that there are no changes involving home dates. There are opponent changes to Idaho's home schedule, but the dates themselves are unchanged. The affected game dates are as follows:2/21 Idaho at Utah (new road date)2/22 Utah at Idaho (new home opponent)2/26 Alaska at Idaho (new home opponent)The game scheduled for March 29 at San Francisco has also been cancelled. The ECHL announced there will be no changes to the playoff structure, meaning the eight remaining teams in the Western Conference will all participate. However, due to an unbalanced schedule (some teams play 71 games instead of 72 due to schedule adjustments), playoff seeding will be determined by winning percentage rather than standings points. Idaho, which plays a full, 72-game schedule, is currently seeded fifth in the West with a .564 winning percentage. The Steelheads are on the road this week for three games in Anchorage against the rival Alaska Aces. Game time on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday is 9:15 PM (Mtn) and can be heard live on KTIK (1350 AM).Group outings at a Steelheads game are a great way to gather friends, colleagues, or co-workers for a fun night out in downtown Boise. Ticket prices are discounted and you can get a Pepsi, Double-R Ranch Hot Dog, and bag of Tim’s Cascade Chips with each ticket. Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 for more information.
