Graham promoted to assistant coach

Boise, ID (9/10/13) - Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Tuesday morning that Neil Graham has retired from professional hockey and been added to the coaching staff of the Idaho Steelheads.Graham, 28, will serve as Ralph's assistant coach after three professional seasons and a four-year career at Mercyhurst (NCAA). The Calgary, Alberta, native will be in charge of team travel, living arrangements and instructional camps along with his on-ice duties as assistant coach.Graham signed with Idaho as a free agent prior to last season after playing for Ralph for two seasons with the SPHL's Augusta RiverHawks. Graham appeared in eight games before sustaining a season-ending injury last December. He spent the remainder of the season helping Ralph, serving as a bench assistant coach during the ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs.The Steelheads open training camp in early October before hosting the third-annual Season-Ticket Holder Only on October 21 at CenturyLink Arena. The regular season opens on October 18 with Idaho traveling to Utah.Idaho's home opener is Wednesday, October 23, against the San Francisco Bulls at CenturyLink Arena. Season-Ticket packages are available beginning at $275 per seat for all 36 home games. Partial-season packages are also available for fans wanting a little more flexibility.
