Versatile forward agrees to terms with Idaho

Boise, ID (8/8/13) - Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Thursday that the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads have agreed to terms with forward Brett Robinson.The 28-year-old Robinson joined the Steelheads midway through the 2012-13 season, chipping in 23 points (six goals, 17 assists) in 36 regular-season games down the stretch for Idaho as a valuable piece of both the power play and penalty-kill units. He excelled in the postseason, tying for the team lead in postseason plus/minus rating (plus-4) and tying for third on the team in postseason goals (5). The Alton, ONT, product has scored 47 goals over four ECHL seasons with Cincinnati, Greenville and Idaho.Ralph on Robinson: "Through his career, Brett has come up the biggest when the lights are the brightest. We're happy to have him back, he's dedicated to winning, will do what it takes to win and genuinely loves playing in the city of Boise."Robinson is the second member of last season's team to agree to terms for the upcoming season, joining defenseman James Isaacs. Training camp begins in Boise in early October.Idaho opens the regular season on October 18 at Utah. The team's home opener is Wednesday, October 23, at CenturyLink Arena in Boise against the San Francisco Bulls.Season Tickets for the 2013-14 season are on sale now. After finishing last season with 45 wins and nearly 100 points in the standings, you won't want to miss any of the action this coming season when the Steelheads take the ice.
