Hepp, Rex headed to Boise this fall

(Boise, ID) ? Defenseman Chris Hepp and forward Eric Rex have agreed to contracts with the ECHL?s Idaho Steelheads, bringing the number of players headed to Boise for training camp to six. Head coach and director of hockey operations Hardy Sauter had previously agreed to terns with forwards Cody Purves, Chad Nehring, and Tyson Hobbins along with defenseman Matt Cowie. Hepp, 24, joined the Steelheads out of Saint Cloud State (MN) in January. In 39 contests, he had four assists and 71 penalty minutes. He also appeared in all nine of Idaho?s games during the ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs. ?I can?t wait to get back, I?m already chomping at the bit for hockey to get here,? Hepp said. ?I had a great time in Idaho last season and am excited to get after it again.? Hepp, who hails from Savage, Minnesota, has one thing to take care of before loading the car and heading for Boise, though, with an August 6 wedding date on the calendar with his fianc
