Collins re-joins Steelheads' front-office staff

(Boise, ID) ? The Idaho Steelheads announced Monday that Chad Collins has joined the front office as the team?s Vice President of Business Development. The University of Idaho graduate is returning to the Treasure Valley after a successful stint in northern California. After leaving the Steelheads, Collins worked with the NBA?s Sacramento Kings, WNBA?s Sacramento Monarchs and Stanford Sports Properties. Collins also spent five seasons as the Director of Sales for the Sacramento River Cats AAA baseball team. While with the River Cats, Collins was instrumental in helping the team achieve the no. 1 ranking in sales and attendance out of 180 minor-league baseball teams between 2006 and 2009. As Vice President of Business Development for the Steelheads, Collins will focus on new Season Ticket sales and suite sales at Qwest Arena. Collins worked for the Steelheads from 1998 to 2003 in various capacities, including account executive and customer relations. At the time of his departure, he was the Director of Ticket Sales for the organization. Collins and his wife, Maurine, founded the Brian Ellis Memorial Foundation in honor of a friend who battled Cystic Fibrosis before passing away in 2002. The foundation supports Cystic Fibrosis research and also funds a scholarship at the University of Idaho. Ticket plans for the 2011-2012 season, Idaho?s 15th in professional hockey, are available right now, starting at just $275 per seat for all 36 home games during the regular season. Partial-season plans are also available. Contact the Steelheads front office at 208.383.0080 for more information.
