(Boise, ID) ? Goaltender Richard Bachman has been reassigned to the Idaho Steelheads by Texas of the American Hockey League, Steelheads head coach Derek Laxdal announced on Wednesday. He is in Boise and will be in uniform Wednesday night when Idaho hosts the Alaska Aces at 7 PM at Qwest Arena. The 22-year-old Bachman made four starts in net for Texas after being recalled on February 15. He shut out the Hamilton Bulldogs and held the Syracuse Crunch to just one goal on back-to-back nights during the recall. For the season, he has played six games in the AHL, the highest level of minor-league hockey in North America. He is 3-3 with a 2.07 goals-against average and .927 save percentage with Texas. In 23 games with Idaho, Bachman is 14-5-3 with an ECHL-best 2.31 goals-against average. He has two shutouts and a .909 save percentage. The Colorado College product also represented the Steelheads in the ECHL All Star Game. Texas (AHL) and Idaho (ECHL) are the primary development affiliates of the NHL?s Dallas Stars. Four former Steelheads ? Tom Wandell, Francis Wathier, Aaron Gagnon, and Warren Peters ? have skated for the Stars this season. A fifth, Matt Climie, dressed but did not appear in a game.
