Peters recalled by NHL's Stars

Former Idaho Steelheads forward Warren Peters has been recalled by the NHL's Dallas Stars.Peters, 27, had been playing for the Texas Stars, the American Hockey League affiliate of both the Dallas Stars and Idaho Steelheads. He appeared in 16 games with Texas, scoring seven goals and adding four assists.He's taking the roster spot of Fabian Brunnstrom, who has been placed on the injured reserve by Dallas. The Stars are at home Thursday night, hosting Columbus.Peters skated in 90 games for the Steelheads between 2003 and 2005, netting 29 goals in that span. Since then, he's played most of his games in the AHL, but made his NHL debut for the Calgary Flames last spring.He will be the fourth former Steelhead to skate for the Stars this season, joining forwards Tom Wandell, Aaron Gagnon, and Francis Wathier. Dan Ellis (Nashville), Jay Beagle (Washington), Zenon Konopka (Tampa Bay), and BJ Crombeen (Saint Louis) have also played in the NHL this season.
