(Boise, ID) Boise Burn head coach Brent Winter announced Tuesday that he and his wife, Christina, are now the proud parents of a healthy baby girl. Ella Karen Winter was born in Los Angeles at 2:30 PM on Tuesday afternoon, checking in at eight pounds and 19.5 inches long. It is the couple?s first child. Both mother and daughter are doing well. ?We?re ecstatic,? Burn assistant general manager Scott Conklin said. ?He was able to be there for the birth and everyone is doing well.? Coach Winter got the call in Boise on Monday and flew to Los Angeles in time to be with Christina. He is expected to return to the team in time for Saturday?s home finale as long as Christina and Ella Karen continue to do well. The Burn (12-3) wraps up the regular season by hosting the Spokane Shock (14-1) on Saturday. Gametime is 7:10 PM at Qwest Arena. Tickets are available by calling the Qwest Arena box office at 208.331.TIXS.
