(Boise, ID) The Boise Burn announced Wednesday that the team will host a first-round af2 playoff game on Saturday, August 1. Boise?s seeding and opponent have yet to be determined. ?We felt it was important to let our fans know early,? Burn President Eric Trapp said. ?This gives them an opportunity to make plans to support our first-ever post-season game.? The team still has three regular-season games to play and could find itself seeded anywhere from first to fourth. As it stands right now, Boise would be the fourth seed. Eight teams from each conference reach the af2 playoffs, which culminates with Arena Cup 10 in Las Vegas on August 22. The three division winners are guaranteed the top three seeds, with the remaining five spots filled by the teams with the best remaining records. This is the first time in franchise history the Burn has qualified for the af2 playoffs. Order forms will be sent to all current Season-Ticket Holders to give them the option of keeping their seats for any home playoff games. Single-game playoff tickets will go on sale July 16. The Burn (11-2) returns to Boise July 11 to host the Tri-Cities Fever. Game time is 7:10 PM at Qwest Arena. Due to popular demand, it will be another ?4-for-$44 Night? for the Burn where fans can purchase four tickets, four Pepsis, and four hot dogs for just $44. Tickets are available by calling the Qwest Arena box office at 208.331.TIXS or visiting www.boiseburn.com
