Boise moves to fifth in af2 Coaches Poll

The Boise Burn moved up two spots in the latest af2 Coaches Poll, jumping from seventh to fifth in the list released on Wednesday. Boise (8-2) jumped over both Arkansas and Tennessee Valley in this week?s voting. The undefeated Spokane Shock remained in the no. 1 spot for the 13th consecutive week, receiving 23 of the 25 first-place votes. Tulsa, who received the other two first-place votes, was second in the poll, followed by South Georgia, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, and Boise. Each coach casts a ballot for teams ranked one through 16. A first-place vote is worth 16 points, a second-place vote is worth 15, and so on. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own team. Boise is on the road Saturday night at Tri-Cities (1-9). Fans can listen to the game in the Treasure Valley by tuning in to 1140 AM (KGEM) with Scott Conklin handling the play-by-play duties. Fans can also watch the game live via NiFTy TV at www.boiseburn.com. The Burn return home on June 20 to host Stockton in the second ?4-for-$44? promotion of the season. Fans can get four tickets, four Pepsis, and four hot dogs for just $44, plus ticketing fees. Call the Qwest Arena box office at 208.331.TIXS for more information.
