The Boise Burn set a season high and tied a team record with 77 points as they improve to 5-2 all time against the Tri-Cities Fever with their 77-28 victory. The Fever found the end zone on their opening drive when Ryan Porter found Finas Rabb in the end zone from 25 yards out to take the early 7-0 lead. Boise answered with a 28-0 run. Offensive lineman Palauni Ma?Sun recorded his first catch and TD of the season tying the game at 7. Tharp then found Casey Allen (7 yards), Jerard Rabb (7 yards) and Nichiren Flowers (4 yards) giving the Burn a comfortable 28-7 lead. Up 35-14 at the half, Boise outscored the Fever 42-14 in the second half thanks in part to Jerard Rabb?s 3 second half scores, highlighted by the Big Game Catch of the week that came on a 40 yard pass from Tharp with 6 minutes left to go in the 3rd quarter. Rabb(Russell athletic Offensive Player of the Game ) finished with 4 catches for 118 yards and 4 TD?s. Rabb also recovered a loose ball in the end zone on special teams. Defensively, Nygel Rogers led the way with 2 interceptions and 7 tackles, Ernie James led the way with 8 tackles, Terrance sanders recorded his 4th interception of the year and Alex Guerrero came up with the only sack of the game as the Burn defense dominated the Fever Offense holding them to 28 points. Note: On the season Jerard 9 catches, 8 of which are TD?s. In the loss, Finas Rabb (Jerard Rabb?s cousin) had career highs with 10 catches, 110 yards and 2 TD?s. Boise (5-2) travels to Stockton, California to take on the Lightning next Saturday night.
