The ECHL announced today that Bryan McGregor of the Idaho Steelheads is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for Mar. 30-Apr. 4. The 24 year old led the ECHL with eight goals and 16 points in four games to extend his point streak (14g-16a) and assist streaks (16a) to nine games and his goal streak to four games (8g). It is the second time in the last three weeks that he has received the award, having won it for Mar. 16-22 after leading the league with six goals and nine points in four games. McGregor had a career-high six points and tied his career best with three goals in a 6-3 win against Phoenix on Apr. 1 and equaled the feat in an 8-2 win against the RoadRunners on Apr. 4. In his second professional season, the Niagara Falls, Ontario native leads the Steelheads and is fourth in the league with 38 goals and 83 points in 67 games. He has also played in Johnstown where he had an assist in one game and in the American Hockey League where he has two points (1g-1a) in three games for Binghamton. He played in the ECHL as a rookie in 2007-08 and had 31 points (14g-17a) in 62 games for Pensacola. On behalf of Bryan McGregor, a case of pucks will be donated to a Boise youth hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, In Glas Co has donated more than 22,500 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
