A sloppy first quarter in which the Burn totaled 8 yards of offense was the beginning of a another bad night at Qwest Arena for Boise as they dropped their fourth straight and fell to under 500 for the first time since week 2 with their 51-33 loss to the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (3-8). Neither offense was sharp early on, but a special teams blunder in which the Yard Dawgz recovered a missed field goal on the Burn10 yard line, turned the momentum over to Okalahoma City. Evan Gray took advantage of the Burn miscue and hit Freddie Rollins on a screen 16 yard pass for the games first TD and only points in the first 15 minutes of play. Both teams picked it up in the second. Following a Ben Scott 28 yard field goal, Casey Allen recorded his 3rd rushing TD of the season from 3 yards out getting Boise on the board at 10-7. Freddie Rollins second TD of the game, this time on a yard run, put the Yard Dawgz up 17-7. Boise would score 14 unanswered for their first lead of the game. Royal Gill found Eric Allen in the end zone for a 6 yard score. Following a Demond Williams interception, Gill went back to the air connecting with Shadrach Okoebor on an 8 yard TD and the 21-17 lead. With 6 seconds left in the half, Evan Gray found Al Hunt (Schutt Offensive Player of the Game) in the endzone giving the Yard Dawgz the lead at half 24-21. Oklahoma City outscored Boise 21-0 in the 3rd. Al Hunt picked up where he left off in the second quarter catching a pair of Evan Gray passes (7,24) for the 17 point lead 38-21. gray capped off the 3rd quarter scoring on a 5 yard TD run and the 44-21 lead heading into the 4th quarter Eric Allen scored a pair of 4th quarter TD?s for Boise, making it 5 TD?s in the past 2 games for the rookie out of Montana, but it was too little too late as Oklahoma City played role of spoiler knocking off the Burn (5-6) 51-33.
