BOISE, Idaho – The Texas Stars (AHL) have loaned forward Elgin Pearce to the Idaho Steelheads, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced on Saturday.
Pierce, 26, played one game with Texas, recording two penalty minutes. The Port Coquitlam, B.C., native played 61 games with the Jacksonville Icemen during the 2017-18 season, tallying 23 goals and 27 assists for 50 points with 35 penalty minutes and a plus-2 rating. He also played 10 games with the Manitoba Moose (AHL) over the last two seasons, posting one goal and two assists for three points.
While at the University of Calgary, Pearce made his professional debut with the Greenville Road Warriors and Gwinnett Gladiators in the 2013-14 season, totaling two goals and two assists for four points over 13 games. He was also a WHL Champion in 2011 with the Kootenay Ice.
The Steelheads finish their two-game home weekend against the Utah Grizzlies tonight at 7:10 p.m. from CenturyLink Arena.
